Jewish Life Festival on Campus

Chabad at Penn State’s Jewish Life Festival on Campus takes place in the fall to attract new students and let them get a feel for Jewish presence on campus. It is located outside the main lawn of the Student Center during the school week – usually after classes from around 5 to 8 pm – so the students can see it as they pass by.

As a student group that is part of the university, Chabad is able to host a full event featuring a Jewish band, shofar factory (it’s usually before Rosh Hashana), kosher hot barbecue, Tefillin and lots of Jewish material. They’ve even given out “stress balls” shaped like apples with a Rosh Hashana message for a sweet, stress-free year.
