MyShliach Opens Chassidishe Virtual Camp Experience to Wider Chabad Community

After three successful seasons and in response to popular demand, MyShliach at Merkos 302 is offering the experience of its Virtual Summer Camp to the broader Chabad community.

Originally created in response to the pandemic, the camp is now in its fourth summer, enabling those unable to attend overnight camp to have the same enriching Chassidishe experience. In last year’s programs for both boys and girls, 350 Yaldei Hashluchim had their summers uplifted.

This year, MyShliach Virtual Camp at Merkos 302 is excited to announce that, in response to high demand, its virtual doors will be open to the broader Chabad public. Up to this point exclusive to young shluchim, now all Lubavitchers will have the opportunity to enjoy a summer of fun and learning from the comfort of their homes.

“After receiving much positive feedback over the past three summers, we wanted to enable a broader audience to benefit from the Chassidishe experience the camp gives over,” said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302. “The participants will surely have an enjoyable summer and come away more devoted to the Rebbe’s shlichus and mivtzoim.”

In the all-virtual setting, campers engage in an interactive program from the comfort of their homes. Developed with the Yaldei HaShluchim in mind, who may not have the opportunity to engage with Chabad peers their age regularly, the program facilitates the development of meaningful relationships with both fellow campers and staff, in a chassidishe camp environment.

Rabbi Yossi Elberg, Program Director of MyShliach at Merkos 302, envisions the friendships that’ll be forged as a learning experience. “All the kids—will gain an appreciation of life as a Chossid, in locations dissimilar to their own.”

Building on three years of experience, organizers plan to raise the experience this year to a whole new level. Running daily from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM EDT, the half-day program will include a diverse range of activities and learning opportunities, such as davening, crafts, live entertainment, farbrengens, games, and much more, all presented innovatively and engagingly. New for this year, each camper will receive (upon registration by June 15) the exclusive “Camp-in-a-Box” package, creating a more immersive and enhanced experience.
