As part of an incredibly inspiring and adventurous weekend on the “CYP Encounter: Panama” Shabbaton, the 60 Young Professionals took a boat ride to Taboga Island. As they were soaring through the turquoise waters of Panama Bay, the group put on Tefillin. Upon discovering that their tour guide was Jewish, three of the CYPs: Matt Birkinshaw of San Antonio, TX, Jonothan Ambar of Orlando, FL, and Nitzan Goodman of Plano, TX, decided to share the Mitzvah with the boat’s captain and persuaded him to don Tefillin as well.
