Today Wednesday the 11th of November, the annual International Conference of Chabad shluchim will begin in New York with the participation of approximately 3,000 shluchim from all corners of the world. During the conference there will be various tributes to the shluchim of Mumbai, Rabbi Gavriel and Rivkah Holtzberg, who died al kiddush Hashem just a few days after last year’s conference.
One of the highlights will be the siyum of a Sefer Torah in their memory. The writing of the Torah commenced soon after receiving news of the tragedy, and will be completed at a moving event with the participation of shluchim, ana”sh, and temimim.
The event will begin on Thursday the 12th of November at 8:00 PM in the Oholei Torah Ballroom in Crown Heights (667 Eastern Parkway), after which there will be a joyous parade to Beis Chayeinu -770, where the hakafos and dancing will take place.
The Vaad Hakinus invites the public to take part in this celebration in memory of the shluchim HY”D.
