Gan Izzys to Unite in Honor of Gimmel Tammuz

Gan Israel day camps all over the world will join a live stream Tzivos Hashem rally for Gimmel Tammuz hosted by CKids International.

Chabad’s network of Gan Israel day camps are known for their energetic lineups, spirited scavenger hunts, and, of course, real, authentic Yiddishkeit.

With Gimmel Tammuz, an important day to celebrate the Rebbe’s impact and reflect on our connection as Chassidim, taking place during camp this year, it’s a wonderful opportunity to gather together and be inspired by the Rebbe. That’s why CKids is hosting a live stream Tzivos Hashem rally in honor of Gimmel Tammuz.

“When a kid in Montana who’s the only Jew in their public school class the entire year joins an event like this, with literally thousands of kids from Los Angeles, to Boston, to Chicago, and everywhere in between, that’s really powerful,” says Rabbi Zalmy Loewenthal, director of CKids. “Instead of each camp operating on its own, we’re bringing them all together.”

The rally will be broadcasted live on to hundreds of day camps all over the world, from small towns to big cities alike. The rally will take place on Friday, Beis Tammuz, at 2:00 PM EST/11:00 AM PST.

“A day like Gimmel Tammuz—it’s a serious time, but we also want to make this rally really entertaining and engaging for the kids,” said Risa Bursk, director of CKids Tzivos Hashem.

Led by the energetic Avremi Rappaport, kids will feel the warmth and excitement of what it means to be connected to the Rebbe.

The rally will balance some of that exciting celebration with more serious themes as well. Alongside the entertainment, it will include segments on the Rebbe’s impact, the importance of every mitzvah, and how kids can fulfill the Rebbe’s vision.

“The goal is always to inspire our children, our Jewish future,” says Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, executive director of Merkos 302. “And Gimmel Tammuz is a day that we renew our resolve in this mission.”
